A literature study was progressed for oriental medical diagnosis and treatment for Jianwang(ËíØÎ) : forgetfulness(amnesia). In orental medicine, the reason of Jianwang(ËíØÎ) was congenital insufficiency(ù¢Ý·ÝÕðë), meditational excessiveness(ÞÖÕçΦÒý), deficiency of heart(ãýúÈ), phlegm retention(ÓÃëæ), deficiency of kidney(ãììÀ), breakdown of the normal physiological coordination between the heart and the kidney(ãýãìÜôÎß), blood stasis(åÜúì). The method of medical treatment was invigorating vital energy and enriching the blood(ÓÞÜÍѨúì), invigorating the heart and nourishing blood(ÜÍãýå×úì), dissipating phlegm and relieving mental stress(ûùÓÃç¬ãê), regulating the spleen corresponds to earth(ìµÞ¡÷Ï), invigorating the heart and the kidney(ÜÍãýãì), reinforcing the liver and the kidney(ÛÆÊÜãì), promoting blood circulation to remove blood stasis(üÀúìËäåÜ) and etc. Herbal medication was followed as those method. The prescription was commonly used as Guibitang(ÏýÞ¡÷·), Insuksan(ìÒâÙߤ), Chunwangbosimdan(ô¸èÝÜÍãýÓ¡), Susunghwan(áøàøü¯), Samjohwan(߸ðÊü¯) and etc.
